We missed that window in between when our baby kitten stopped being a kitten and when she was old enough to start making kittens. So, she wasn't spayed and we now have about six more cats than I think suits our house.
Yettie (the mama cat) crawled up onto the counter in the laundry room and into my un-mated sock basket to have the kittens.
The kittens are pretty cute, and I've been looking for a reason to avoid mating those socks anyway.
