Israel and I were scheduled to fly out to D.C. early this morning. After leaving for the airport at 3:00 am (and having Dev drop us off and return to Mission) and waiting in a long line to check in since the self-check in wouldn't work, we discovered all flights to all airports in the Washington area were cancelled through the night. Since the storm coincided with the government sequester of course it needed a quirky name. The quirky name didn't make it less annoying. Most of the conference sessions I wanted to attend were Wednesday evening and Thursday sessions. There was no way to get refunds on any of the expenses for the trip. And then when we back to Mission it started snowing here, too. By mid-afternoon we couldn't even see the mountains.
