So this is what Lex and I were doing at 11:11 on 11/11/11. (That's an awful lot of ones in one date. Sort of cool.)
He brought his superheroes to introduce them to our real hometown heroes.
He wasn't as scared of the gunshots this year, and is now old enough to ask all sorts of questions about the reasons for the guns and the uniforms (especially those white gloves) and just who these people are lined up with all the flags to begin with. He also remembered his grandfathers' names on the wall. He can even find the one right in the corner by himself. Maybe by next year he'll know more letters than just the ones in his own name and will be able to find them all on his own and work on the video we always make about our family veterans with his siblings.
