186: driving . . .officially

Israel was finally able to fit drivers ed into his schedule. He passed all his written and driving tests and the class a few weeks ago, so now he has a permit to be doing this officially.

He's been driving for a few years now, but this was the first time I let him drive on the highway. (He did chauffeur his dad back from Bozeman a few weekends ago.) His younger siblings were heckling him, and told him repeatedly not to kill them and that they had their seatbelts tightly fastened. He did pretty well though.

I'm actually glad to have another driver. I won't be loaning him my car for road trips any time soon, but it's pretty handy to have someone who can do small errands in town for me.
