All the kids ran in the Buffalo Run this morning, and Zoran wanted to do the longer race instead of just running the mile with all the little kids. I told him he was going to have to wait till next year since I'd already agreed to bring the ambulance & couldn't run with him. (I was afraid he'd miss a turn or follow some of the 7-milers!) Gwen told him she'd run with him the night before, so he was pretty excited. Deva caught up to them, too and he ended up doing the second half with both of them. I love this photo of the three of them all smiling and running even after about three miles. I was pretty proud of Zoran. Four miles is a long ways for someone only 3 1/2 feet tall. And he ran the whole way. It only took him 50 minutes-- not too shabby for a six-year-old.
(Not real amazing for a 30-something year old runner though. . . Gwen was a little stressed out with the leisurely pace, but she handled it okay, you know, considering she is Gwen and all.)
