Dev spent the evening cutting up giant pieces of elk he can no longer keep in his outdoor mobile freezer (i.e. his truck) since it decided to be above freezing yesterday. He's drying jerky (the current batch in our oven), grinding up burger, slicing up stew meat and I don't know what else because I mainly just stayed out of the kitchen because it all seems pretty gross to me. He likes all these power appliances for processing meat. I don't see any sort of butcher jobs in my future. At least it's less food I have to buy to feed all these people.
