Day 67: Lex. Again.

Is it so bizarre that I would think my three-year-old might actually be sleeping at 3:30 in the morning instead of ruining all our food? Why do you need a bowl of cereal at 3:30am? And why do you ever need to smash an entire dozen eggs? And when will this boy stop destroying everything in our house? Every time I walk in the other room or even just go to sleep it seems to cost me at least $50 in destroyed property or groceries. Often in the past month it’s been hundreds. I need a preschool-sized playpen-cage-jail cell.

  1. Wow. We've been lucky that's never happened.

But, we turned the knobs around on the doors so we can lock them in their rooms. It's a "mean mommy" thing, but it keeps them in there and safe.

  2. Oh my! LOL kids are soooo sneaky and they're pretty darn smart. We didn't even get any locks that went OUTSIDE the doors on the cabinents because we KNEW he'd figure them out, so we had to buy some complicated locks that go INSIDE the cabinent and they work ! LOL but idk about the fridge :)

  3. Oh no! We just got a puppy so I feel your pain, but I'm sorry the munchkin likes to be up at 3:30... Get some sleep!

  4. That's we we have a lock on the outside of Hayden's door... it stays locked until he knocks and asks to get out! It sounds mean, but it's seriously the only thing that's saved us!
