You Capture: Mornings

There's usually a collection of little pajama-ed feet around here first thing in the morning.

Some mornings I have to go find my children and make sure they're all accounted for.  They rarely sleep in beds, but even when they start out in them they usually end up somewhere else. All of them (except Israel) walk in their sleep to varying degrees. Azia is by far the worst. She also talks in her sleep. (and yells and laughs...)

Sometimes after all the kids are off to school, Lex climbs back in bed for a little longer. (Sometimes Mia joins him.) There are advantages to being two.
If there is any time left after he's ready but before he leaves, of course Zoran is manning the ipod. (See him giving Azia the hand when she tried to touch his music.) He is probably going through music withdraws being at school all day! He still starts and ends each day with his music. And it's still about 90% Green Day.

The older kids are still pretty cooperative about getting ready for school since they've only been back a week. There is usually only a little morning chaos...looking for backpacks, fighting over the dog. Israel just sleeps in that chair for about a half hour every morning as he has for a few years now. He sits there wearing his coat and backpack and pretending he's all ready. I guess maybe he is ready, because he just has to pick up his bag and leave, but he's also fast asleep.
The little kids are always trying to escape outside as soon as they're awake. There's still not really any snow on the mountains and pipes are still watering fields, but it's definitely cooler in the mornings. (A few more weeks of cool weather and maybe we can actually burn this part of the "yard"...maybe even figure out how to get that giant power pole they cut down a few weeks ago out of there.)
