Day 109: Details and Open Spaces

I need to visit Albuquerque some day with someone from here who can show me all the good parts. I've only been here a few times and it's always for conferences and things, so I'm never with locals. So much of what stands out is the urban ugliness...lots of concrete and convenience stores and traffic and dirt.
But there are beautiful details, too: the huge blue sky, all the rounded red architecture, the bold splashes of primary colors on restaurant benches and walls and the millions of chillies--hanging from every open beam and an optional topping nearly every food.

And I'm sure there are many details that I haven't yet noticed that are even better.
