Typical posed portraits, probably my least.
But, dirty faces, pine needle treasures and real expressions. Perfect.
Every once in awhile I find someone who is cooperative and looks at me and smiles and looks beautiful . . . and not posed into some plastic or frozen representation of themselves. Like my niece Keilana:
Occasionally they'll glance my way for a moment if I yell at them.
Or I see them laughing at someone else.
But mostly they run away.
Eleven-year-olds are sometimes extremely camera shy, too.
Luckily I have all sorts of cousins to work with.
About 1/4 of the gang of cousins who all went on the Christmas tree expedition this weekend are represented here. Sometime I'll have to try to get a picture of all of them in one outing!
