334: still decorating. . .

 

Our house is trashed. Christmas debris everywhere. Tree still undecorated because somehow our excessive number of boxes of lights re-appeared this holiday season as about five broken strings and there is nowhere in our town to buy Christmas lights. Smashed bulbs everywhere because apparently the "shatterproof" ornaments are not actually shatterproof, and are actually really entertaining to watch shatter.  We also have no lights in our living room so by the time we get home you can't actually see anything in the boxes so everyone has just been stringing everything around the house. I told the kids they could decorate the tall plant because it seemed to distract them a little from their other decorating task of just tossing ornaments up into the humongous lightless tree to see if they will stick.
