Probably the most hellish part was that going required me to get up at 6:00 am on a Saturday. It was a very long day. I was only on skates the second half of the day, but that was still almost 5 hours! It was nice to actually skate with people who know what they are doing. Nice in that it was a good introduction to a lot of things I need to figure out how to do. Not nice in that there were some people who could do them all really well while making it look really easy which is maddening. It's not so easy once you move beyond skating in a straight line all by yourself.
