2010 Fire Department Picnic

All the shinny fire trucks were out on display. The was one of the highlights of Zoran's day.

Saturday the Volunteer Fire Department had their annual picnic and auction fundraiser. It's turning into one of the most fun community afternoons of the year. They always have a good crowd, lots of good food, and all sorts of things to spend your money on to support the Fire Department.

Some of the crowd eating, getting ready for the auction.

Some of the firemen (and helpers) feeding everyone.

The face painting is always a hit with the kids.

Israel and Gage went with a different approach to the face painting. I guess this is the route you go if you're in middle school and want the pretty high school girls to paint your face but don't really want any rainbows or to look like a tiger.

Horse rides.

Dev brought his fire prevention trailer down from work and the boys had fun helping him work. Zoran liked giving away free stuff. Almost everyone from his work went out of state on fires the day before so Dev didn't have anyone to work with him...no Smokey Bear this year.

Monte didn't make it this year either, but Zoran made a new mascot friend.

Checking out the silent auction items.
